Comments: An American Almost Notices The Outside World

Our only hope is that some weirdly specific tectonic fault will cause the US to sink suddenly and without warning under the sea. Canda and Mexico will be spared.

(Oh, and all the US citizens that I like will be told in a dream to build an Ark.)

George Bush will escape in Airforce 1, but a freak accident will cause the plane to crash in Gaza, leaving him as the only survivor. Of course, given his even-handed Middle Eastern foreign policy, he'll be well treated by the locals...

Wouldn't that cause just a hugh rise in global sea-levels though? Not what we'd want in hilly East Anglia!

The American's I've met are generally quite nice, it's just as a collective that they seem to suffer. Maybe if it was the Divided States of America their media wouldn't be quite so insular :-)

Maybe MI6 should get to work on a policy of sowing mistrust and division among the states. Divide and rule!

(Oh, and I was thinking more of the US sinking under the sea, than of the sea rising over it, so East Anglia should be unaffected.)

Good point. Well made. Let's hope there aren't *any* soldiers there on active duty sooner rather than later.
